Banz pieces are made of 316L stainless steel and
plated with 18k gold. The gold plating is 1 micron thick
for durability of the gold.
What is 316L stainless steel?
316L surgical grade stainless steel has less carbon
content then standard stainless steel. Less carbon
means that these pieces will not rust, corrode, tarnish,
stain, fade, or turn the skin green. And it is
hypoallergenic. Stainless steel jewelry is very
durable and one of the best ways to go with jewelry in
the Caribbean climate.
NOTE: Do not use jewelry cleaning cloths or products
to clean Banz as those contain chemicals that can
damage the gold plating.
